About the council
Established on October 11, 2012 under the auspices of the Society of Engineers – UAE, the UAE Engineering Deans Council serves as a unified national platform to advance engineering education and research, strengthen academic standards and support national development priorities.
The council provides a forum for sharing best practices and challenges, promoting collaborative research, supporting accreditation excellence and enhancing engagement with industry, government and international organizations.
Mission
To advance engineering, information technology, and computer science education and research across the UAE by fostering national collaboration among higher education institutions, promoting academic quality and accreditation excellence, modernizing industry-aligned curricula, strengthening industry and government partnerships, and supporting sustainable research ecosystems that prepare graduates to lead in emerging technological and societal challenges.
Vision
To establish a globally competitive, interconnected engineering education ecosystem in the UAE that delivers graduates equipped for future-focused industries, drives innovation and research excellence, strengthens national development goals, and positions the UAE as a regional and international leader in engineering and technology education.
